St Annes Kite Festival returns this September

The St Annes Kite Festival is set to return on the Fylde Coast from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 September, promising a weekend of awe-inspiring aerial displays and family-friendly fun.

This three-day event is a partnership between Fylde Council and SmileFactor10, and will see tens of thousands of visitors from all over the United Kingdom and will feature an impressive line up of international kite fliers and a variety of exciting activities.

The celebrations kick off on Friday at dusk with an illuminated kite flying evening, will see kites with flashing lights take to the sky, accompanied by floodlit inflatables in the shapes of all manner of creatures, finished off with a sound and light spectacular.

From giant inflatable kites to artistic creations and thrilling sport kite performances, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. The festival will also include live music, delicious food and drink, and funfair rides, making it a perfect day out for families and kite enthusiasts alike.

New for 2024 we have extended the festivities into Saturday evening with live music on the beach and at 9:30pm you’ll be able to enjoy a spectacular fireworks display.

In addition to the kite flying, the festival will feature workshops and demonstrations for those who want to learn more about the art of kite flying.

Event Schedule:

Friday, 13th: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Saturday, 14th: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Sunday, 15th: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
