Tram Sunday This Weekend

Here's all the details about Tram Sunday...

Fleetwood’s Festival of Transport, also known as Tram Sunday is returning on Sunday 21st July. The free event will be taking over the town centre with a whole host special vehicles and family entertainment lined up for the day.

Tram Sunday is the UK’s largest free transport and arts event that showcases retro and vintage car displays as well as classic heritage trams. This popular community event has been running since 1985 and is loved by locals and visitors alike.

Blackpool and Fylde Land Rover Club and Blackpool and Fylde Mini Club will be in attendance. We also have several vintage motorcycles joining us from Blackpool Area Motorcycle Action Group and The Armed Forces Bikers Veterans Charity.

We spoke to Kat Dooney, from Tram Sunday, who told us all about it, LISTEN BELOW:

This year the festival will feature a static heritage Blackpool to Fleetwood Balloon Tram at Fisherman’s Walk tram stop. On the day of the festival heritage trams are operating a 30-minute service, between North Pier and Fisherman’s Walk, a special time table has been produced (below).
