Exciting New Children’s Play Centre and Café Opens in Penwortham

Penwortham is set to welcome an exciting addition to its community this summer with the opening of *Playspace*, a new children’s play centre and café located on Liverpool Road.

Founded by local entrepreneur and mother, Lucy Chamberlain, *Playspace* is designed to provide a safe, interactive, and imaginative environment where children can explore, learn, and play while their parents relax and enjoy high-quality refreshments.

*Playspace* is not just another play centre; it is a thoughtfully curated space specifically tailored for children up to five years old. The centre features a variety of age-appropriate play equipment designed to stimulate young minds and foster creativity. The play zones are designed to cater to different stages of childhood development, ensuring that there is something for every child, whether they are just learning to crawl or are full of energy and curiosity.

In addition to its play facilities, *Playspace* boasts a welcoming café which will offer a selection of delicious, healthy meals and snacks that cater to both children and adults. The café is also set up to accommodate parents with young children, offering high chairs, child-friendly utensils, and plenty of space for prams and strollers.

Lucy Chamberlain, the visionary behind *Playspace*, is deeply committed to creating a space that reflects the needs and desires of local families, she tells us:

”As a mum of 3 children, all under 5, I know how it important it is for new families to be able to socialise and meet in a child friendly environment. “

Lucy, who also owns the dog groomers next door said, “I used to work in this building from the age of 13 until I was about 21 when it was a local cafe, I never thought I’d get the opportunity to run it myself one day.”

As a mother herself, Lucy understands the importance of having a safe, clean, and engaging environment where children can play and learn, and where parents can take a moment to relax. "Penwortham has a thriving community of young families, and I wanted to create a space that brings people together," Lucy said. "Whether you're a new parent looking for a supportive environment, or a family seeking a fun day out, *Playspace* is here to welcome you."

In addition to welcoming children under five, *Playspace* is also designed to be inclusive of older siblings, ensuring that the whole family can enjoy the experience together. With dedicated spaces for different age groups, *Playspace* encourages shared experiences while catering to the unique needs of children at different stages of development.

*Playspace* is expected to become a cornerstone of the Penwortham community, offering a much-needed venue for social interaction and childhood development. *Playspace* will officially open its doors at the end of summer around the 27th of August.
