There will be some changes to council services over the Christmas period.

Bin collections and recycling

There will be some changes to regular collections over the Christmas and new year period

Collections will return to normal from Monday 2 January 2023.

Christmas tree collection

This year, Trinity Hospice is once again collecting used Christmas trees.

Trees will be collected on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 January. If you would like to have your tree collected by Trinity Hospice Charity (for a small donation), visit their website for details.

The last Customer First appointments will be on Friday 23 December 2022.

Benefit payment changes

If your normal payment is due on Thursday 22 December payment will be released as follows:

• BACS payments ‐ This payment will credit your bank account as normal on Thursday 22 December 2022

If your normal payment is due on Thursday 29 December 2020 payment will be released as follows:

• BACS payments – This payment will credit your bank account as normal on Thursday 29 December 2022

If your normal payment is due on Thursday 5 January 2023 paymentswill be released as follows:

• BACS payments – This payment will credit your bank account as normal on Thursday 5 January 2023

Libraries

All libraries will be closed from Saturday 24 December and reopen their normal opening hours on Tuesday 3 January, with the exceptions listed below which will be open 10.00am to 4.00pm:

• Central and Palatine libraries open - Wednesday 28 December
• Central and Moor Park libraries open - Thursday 29 December
• Moor Park and Palatine libraries open - Friday 30 December
