A church is Blackburn was burgled this week.
Police received a report of a burglary at St Joseph's Church on Audley Range, which is believed happened sometime between 3pm Wednesday and 8am on Thursday.
They are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed anybody in the area who was suspicious, or anyone who may have seen the incident occur.
A spokesperson said: ‘’The church has been subjected to serious damages/losses which we understand may have an impact on the wider communities.
‘’We would urge anyone with information that may be useful to us to come forward and help with this investigation. Our enquiries are still ongoing to try and identify an offender.’’
