Plans have been unveiled for an ambitious new lighting scheme in Blackpool town centre including a possible canopy over one pedestrian area.

Blackpool’s biggest fundraiser supporting young homeless people in the resort is set to take place again this April in St John’s Square.

Around a thousand job opportunities will be available as the Winter Gardens hosts a job fair with more than 100 local employers taking part.

Blackpool is set to become the UK’s comedy capital once again as the Blackpool Comedy Festival returns later this year.
